White Acorn Squash

I grow White Acorn Squash in my garden for the sheer novelty of it all.  It makes me think there are ghosts occupying my raised beds.  Hey, perhaps those ghosts scare away some of the pests!

That said — unless I didn’t cure the squash appropriately — neither my wife or I felt this variety of squash had a superior taste.  It was bland and watery.

Hmmm.  Come to think of that, sounds like I didn’t cure it at all.  I may have to give this heirloom variety another try.
