My grandma nearly turned me off from cabbage forever. She overcooked her cabbage rolls, filling her house with the most disgusting of smells.
Luckily, heirloom gardening made me an adventurous soul, and I gave the vegetable another shot.
I had a near perfect growing season for my garden of 2013; and this particular Early Jersey Wakefield Cabbage (an heirloom) was probably my nearest perfect vegetable of the year. No evidence of pests messing with it, no blemishes, and the lighting was consistent making for a great shot as I hovered above it.
My Early Jersey Wakefields made for great roasting.
