Vanity post! This is me doing a Crow Pose in front of the Pantheon in Paris (June 1, 2014). The Pantheon’s façade is modeled after the Pantheon in Rome. It is located in the Latin Quarter of the Paris.
I visited the Pantheon on one of my solo outings (i.e. no guidance from my wife Rebecca, who speaks fluent French … I only know a phrase or two of the language).
From the outside the Pantheon is a pretty impressive site, with its pillars and the outside stone artwork. However, my three-day museum pass also gave me free access to the inside, which holds Foucault’s pendulum, a device conceived as an experiment to demonstrate the rotation of the Earth.
Now, about that Crow Pose … don’t that look snazzy?
Here’s a more complete picture.
